What's in store for Pack 194?

posted Nov 19, 2012, 8:48 AM by Unknown user
Hello everyone,

No meeting this week
Please note that there will be no pack or den meeting this Wednesday, 21st of November. I'm not sure why, but I think it has something to do with everyone roasting up an invertebrate bird called a Turducken.

Popcorn
Huge thanks to everyone who got out there and helped us replenish the coffers during our annual fundraising program. I won't steal the thunder from our Popcorn Kernal, except to say that as Treasurer, I'm very pleased with the result. Please join me in thanking Courtney and Brad for the fantastic job they did with the Popcorn program this year. Really appreciate it guys!
Hopefully you had an opportunity to pick up your orders on Friday or Saturday. If not, please get in touch with Courtney or Brad as soon as possible.

New Committee Members
But wait, there's more (thanking)! Thanks also to the following parents for carving some valuable time out of their packed schedules to help the pack with some of our open positions:
Robert H has kindly offered to become our new Treasurer, Robin C our new fundraising coordinator and Samantha S our new Kiwanis contact (The Kiwanis our the pack's charter organization). Welcome guys!
We still have the following open positions that we need to fill, and most won't take up a whole lot of your time. Please click on the links to find out what's involved, or get in touch with me if you would like me to explain any of the positions.

Gingerbread Houses
Our next Service Project is coming up soon, which is where we assemble and decorate Gingerbread Houses and then deliver them to folks such as those at Doak Walker. We will get together as a pack to do the decorating on 12/5, but the first step is to assemble the houses. We will be meeting in the lobby of the Sheraton Steamboat Resort on Tues 11/27 at 5pm and doing the assembly in the resort's kitchens (thanks Scott!). Typically, leaders and their scouts attend this event, along with a few others that would like to join in. Please let me know if you are planning to come.

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!
