What's in store for Pack 194?

Hello everyone,

I'm really glad to report we had a great time with a great turnout for our Boondocks adventure on Friday. I know that lots of families had conflicts or couldn't get away from work (or had jetsetted off to Florida), but if there's anyone out there that just decided they couldn't be bothered with a long trip to Denver, I gotta tell ya: You missed out big time! I'm having trouble trying to decide whether the kids or the adults had more fun. I had so much fun, I only had time to take two photos (please add more to the album if you have some) and from last report, Jim Lambert is still going around the go-kart track as I'm typing. Really big thanks to Robin Craigen, who offered one of his 15-seat passenger vans for the trip and drove a bunch of us there and back.

Astronomy Night
Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think the Astronomy Night on Wednesday was a big hit too. It's always hard to get kids to sit down for any presentation for more than a few minutes, but I was surprised by the level of engagement and interest shown by the scouts during the indoor session and they seemed fascinated by what they could see through the telescopes outside. Please join me in thanking Jimmy Westlake and his team for a great fun and informative night. If you feel that your scout (especially Bears/Webelos) have a budding interest in astronomy or astrophysics, I highly recommend getting a copy of Carl Sagan's TV series "Cosmos".

Raingutter Regatta
Don't forget that we have our Raingutter Regatta race this coming Wednesday and that we're starting a little earlier at 6pm. If anyone hasn't started building yet, I would advise getting onto it. It doesn't take very long to build a boat overall, but you need to build it over several days to let glue and paint dry in between sessions.

Popcorn Deliveries
We will have all your popcorn available for pickup on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th November. Orders can be picked up from The Egg & I Restaurant (BEST place for breakfast by the way. Sam and I went for some one-on-one time this morning. Yum Yum!!) up until 5:30pm on Frydee and 3pm on Satdee.

Don't forget that we don't have a meeting the following week due to Thanksgiving.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions, but also, don't forget that the website has a veritable cornucopia of information.

Last, apparently "Gangnam Style" is a snow dance, so go get your Psy on.
