Service Projects - Steamboat Lake and Catamount Lake Triathlon aid stations

posted Jun 25, 2015, 8:51 AM by Cub Pack
Hi everyone,

We have two service projects coming up for the Steamboat Lake and Catamount Lake Triathlons.

This is the same thing we did recently for the Steamboat Marathon and the scouts had a great time then.

We are always looking for opportunities for the pack to give back to the community and to give the pack greater exposure and these types of events are a great way to do it.

The triathlon organizers have also kindly offered to kick in a $20 donation to the pack for each volunteer.

Volunteers will set up an aid/water station along the route and hand out water, Gatorade and snacks to the athletes.

The Steamboat Lake Triathlon will be held on July 19th. Volunteers need to be at Steamboat Lake by 7:15 a.m.

The Catamount Lake Triathlon will be held on August 16th. Volunteers need to be at Catamount Lake by 7:45 a.m.

We need a minimum of four people (adults and kids) for each aid station, but a larger group will have more energy and be more fun.

Both races will be finished by around 11 to noon, but the aid station will likely wrap up much before that.

Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms and don't forget the sunscreen, but you can probably skip the water bottles for this one.

Sign up now and avoid the rush!!
